I love to travel! Visiting a new city to explore the history, culture, and food is always exciting. The traveling experience can be enhanced when done with your significant other, better known as a baecation. It gives the two of you a chance to get away from the stressors of everyday life (work, family, etc,) and spend quality time with one another. Taking a trip together also gives you a chance to get to know each other better and can strengthen your relationship.
PJ and I did a good amount of traveling our first year together. We traveled to New Orleans, New York City, Miami, and Richmond. Since we didn’t kill each other on these trips we figure we are compatible and should take more vacations together. This led me to come up with the following baecation goals for this year:
- A road trip
- Visiting a U.S. city that requires a plane ticket
- Traveling internationally
These are reasonable goals, especially since PJ and I are 1/3 so far after our road trip to South Carolina last month. Although it is debatable whether or not attending an out of town wedding is a vacation, we will be flying to Birmingham, Alabama for Dawn’s wedding next month. We have also been discussing a trip to Texas or the west coast, so number 2 is definitely happening. I am also currently plotting on where to go with my recently renewed passport (Rome, London, and Bora Bora have been thrown into the mix). Wherever we choose to go, I know we will enjoy the trip.
