“Ladies look here, when you been with your man for a long time , every now and then you gotta go back in the closet and pull out that freakum dress” – Beyoncé

You don’t need to wear a freakum dress on every date, but you should look your best. Here is a simple look I put together for a recent dinner date with PJ.

NYX Conceal Correct Contour, NYX Photo Loving Primer, Maybelline Fit Me Liquid Foundation, NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray, Sacha Buttercup Setting Powder (not pictured, Tarte Creaseless Concealer)

Before you apply any makeup be sure you’re face is clean and moisturized. I start off with a primer so my makeup will last throughout the evening. I do a little color correction under my eyes and follow that up with concealer. After applying concealer I use a dime size amount of foundation, and build upon that depending on how much coverage is needed. I set with setting powder and move on to the eyes.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, UrbanDecay Primer, NYX Matte Black Liquid Liner, BH Cosmetics 120 Color Eyeshadow Palette

I usually keep my eyes neutral if I play to do a dark lip. I love the BH Cosmetics palette because it gives me a variety of colors to choose from and for a great price. I got mine from Amazon. I prime my eyelids before I apply the eyeshadow for the same reason as before. After the apply the eyeshadow I follow up with mascara. I don’t use false lashes because I am terrible at putting them on. So, I use mascara that will give me a lot of volume which Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara is perfect for. I do my winged liner and that’s it for the eyes!

I swatched all the dark color lipstick I have and I settled on the purple on the far right. It is an Ulta brand liquid lip cream that I am not a huge fan of but it was the color I thought went best with the outfit.  I finished the look with a light contour, highlight, and finishing powder.
