Hello June! May was a crazy month for us here at Priceless Dates. Mother’s Day, Graduations, and Dawn’s wedding kept us busy. However, we still managed to find a few favorite things. See what we picked below!
“Boy Bye” Shirt
For those of you that don’t know, I am a bit of a Beyoncé fan. Her Formation tour will be in Baltimore this Friday and you know I had to get the perfect outfit. I found this shirt on Etsy for only $17.99. Can’t wait to wear it to the concert!
NYX Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipstick
I’m still into this liquid lipstick trend. I have wanted to try the NYX lippies but they are surprisingly hard to find. Luckily, on a trip to CVS during my lunch break I found these. They retail around $7 and can be purchased online, as well as in Ulta, Target, and CVS. These colors are in Teddy and Embellishment.
Steve Madden gladiator sandals
DSW never lets me down. Found these sandals for $44.95.
Blue Bell Ice Cream
Every southerner I know has said this was the best ice cream ever. I could not leave the south without trying for myself. It did not disappoint.
Alfred Angelo Wedding Dress
My wedding dress is truly my favorite item of clothing I’ve bought ever. I’m not very traditional and neither was my wedding, so of course my dress had to be just as untraditional. My cameo and ivory dress from Alfred Angelo was hands down the showstopper of the day. Plus my added sleeve and side bustle (which broke right before the reception when I really needed it) set it off. I’ll be sharing my dress journey soon.
I really didn’t want to do the traditional tiered cake for my wedding where someone would have to sit there and cut cake for an hour to serve our guests. We opted for individual servings of pecan pies, red velvet bundt cakes, and oatmeal raisin & peanut butter cookies from insomnia cookies. If you’re a B’ham local, check my Facebook page for my vendor thank you post.
Saturday afternoon, before my wedding, I went shoe browsing at my favorite, always clutch, favorite ratchet shoe store. FYI, I also got my wedding shoes from this store because like I said, they are clutch. Any who, I bought my new favorite going out shoes which have now been dubbed my Thot shoes. Read more about them here.
Stuffed animal deer head
One of the best things about working at a Botanical Gardens is finding awesome and sometimes strange items from our gift shop, Leaf & Petal. This stuffed animal deer head was just too cute to pass up. I’m buying the stuffed animal unicorn head this June.
Green Acres Chicken
Green Acres Chicken is one of my favorite buys every month but it was especially a favorite in that I got to share it with Vanessa after bragging about how good it is for the past 4 years. My next mission is to get her hooked on KiKi pooh.
